| Advertising Does Not Sell Products |

You may be surprised by the title of this article. It is a generally accepted belief that advertising sells more products for a company. Heck, we see so many ads in every part of our lives, it must be true, right?
Well, no, it’s not. The truth is that advertising does not sell products. All the advertising in the world will not sell a poor product. The most brilliant, attractive advertising ever designed will not sell a product for which there is no demand.
So, two things create sales: quality and demand. There has to be a demand for your product, or you will never sell a thing. Even if there is a demand, then you still need to produce a quality product, or your sales will not last long.
However, quality goes even farther than that. Even with a quality product for which there is a demand, advertising will not increase sales much unless the advertisements themselves are of high quality.
When you design your advertising campaign, focus on generating quality material. Do not ever try to save money by having poor quality work done, at least not in the advertising department. Here are some additional tips for specific advertising tools:
Flyers
When you design a flyer printing, do not try to do too much all at one time. Many companies try to pack all kinds of information into one flyer, and the result is that customers are overwhelmed. Focus on one or, at most, two aspects of your company or product that you want to convey to the viewers of your flyers.
Also, while color is an important tool to use in your flyers, again try not to overdo it. Do not throw so many colors into the mix that customers are distracted from what you are trying to tell them.
Finally, have your flyers printed by a very good, reputable commercial printing company.
Brochures
The tips for producing quality brochures is much the same as the ones for flyers. However, with brochures you have more room, so you can include more information. Instead of limiting the number of things you tell customers through your brochures, focus on aligning things to be aesthetically pleasing. Make your most important topics bigger and more prominent. Use headings and borders to set things apart and keep them divided.
Of course, using a good commercial printing company is important here as well.
Greeting Cards
In the past few years, more companies have delved into printing greeting cards as a way to advertise. This can be effective, but – again – only if they are of a high quality. Make sure to produce cards with a clear, simple message that is very evident to readers. Do not try to be too clever.
